Born in 1970, our Director Darren grew up in the middle of the BMX craze that swept through the UK in the early eighties, reaching its peak at the release of ET. During this time he owned plenty of lovely BMXs that he slowly destroyed!! 

Not all the collection on here is for sale, but there are few duplicates he's got and some he's aquired with other bikes he really wanted that are. 

All of the bikes will have as much information as we possibly know. If theres a frame number, we will state it.

Now, lets get one thing out of the way as we are aware there are some die hard everything must be original collectors out there. If you're a died hard and original BMX'er from the eighties, you will recognise that none of these bikes are now factory standard. Most have been modified from the original form in one way or another which was just standard practise in those days. You didn't ride the bike how the factory built it. In fact buying the bike was just the begining of the long journey of BMX ownership. You took it home, went to Strongs, spent your hard earnt cash and instantly customised the bikes. Better brakes, seats, handlebars and of course every boys dream, Skyways.

So, if you're looking for period perfect BMXs, these aren't for you. There's a few on here of course that are pretty close, but most have been upgraded in one form or another to how we wanted them to look and they have been built to be ridden, not hidden. Yep, thats right, with exception to possibly needing a bit of air in the tyres, every bmx can be ridden.

Welcome to Unique Wheels BMXs. Part of a huge collection we aquired from a customer almost 5 years ago, we should have sold most of them after keeping the ones we wanted, however weve got all attached to them! However it really is time to sell some as we need the wall they have been hanging on!!

All the bikes are in great condition however remember they are over 35 years old and will have signs of use and they are a mixture of original and repro parts. I was 10 years old in 1980 when BMXs hit and hit big time. Fantastic times and we absolutely ruined them. So, the fact that these look as good as they do is a unbelievable.

If your lookimg for genuine bikes that have never been messed with, i dont belive those sorts of bikes exist unless in a museum. These are alll useable (unless stated otherwise) and values are, lets face it only going one way.
